Revive is the partner automation for Stop Loss. It unpauses ad sets or ads that have performed well and corrects for attribution delays.
If people see your ad in the morning and then buy your product in the afternoon, Stop Loss might already trigger and pause the ads. Revive is there to kick in and unpause the asset so you can maximize your conversions.
Every day, the tactic will check if both of the predefined conditions are met, and if they aren't the tactic will reset.
First, you set a condition for when the asset should be unpaused. This is an event you set which dictates that the asset performed well and should be unpaused.
Then, the tactic continuously checks if the condition is true, and if it is, Revive will unpause the asset. It will automatically reset at a specific hour every day.
For example, if the asset has been paused and then generated a purchase, the tactic will take action and unpause it for the day.
First, choose if you want to run Stop Loss on the ad level or on the ad set level. The ad set level will pause whole ad sets, while the ad level will pause individual underperforming ads.
We highly recommend you launch both levels. This will provide you with two layers of budget protection and allow you to cull out the underperforming ads before you pause the whole ad set.
To start, pick the option you want to start with and click that panel.
Choose an event to optimize for: in other words, the conversion you’d like to achieve.
For example, most eCommerce accounts would choose Purchase, but you can also choose Add to Cart, Outbound Clicks, or anything that best fits your needs.
Click on the event you want to choose.
Here you set up the tactic conditions. Madgicx has already filled in all the fields with the best values for your account and for the event you're optimizing for, but you can edit everything.
The tactic itself is very simple: if a paused asset reaches enough convesions, Revive will unpause it.
You can change the type and number of conversions Revive needs to unpause the asset.
The second consition is called a sanity check. It helps make sure that Revive only unpauses profitable assets. You can use the toggle to turn it off but we recommend leaving it on. If the asset has generated a conversion, it might still be underperforming; the sanity check will make sure to only unpauses assets that are profitable.
The default values here are optimized for your account as well, but you can edit them and set static or dynamic metrics.

Select what assets you'd like the tactic to run on. You can select and de-select using the check boxes. The little 'A' stands for Auto Apply, meaning that the tactic will apply for any future ad sets or ads in that campaign. Click on a box twice to reach Auto Apply.
