Creative Insights gives you data-based insights so you can deeply analyze your creative performance. Creatives are a critical component of your Facebook advertising strategy. With Creative Insights, you will discover which creatives resonate with your target audience in every funnel stage.
This tool allows you to compare creatives across your entire account, find under-utilized high-performing creatives, and scale them. You'll also have the ability to schedule weekly Creative Briefs to send your designer so they can seamlessly improve your creatives (Coming Soon).
The chart at the top of the page breaks down performance based on creative type and shows your performance KPIs for each one. You can adjust the time frame on the top right-hand side.
You can see the percentage of spend you’ve invested in each type of creative and the percentage of revenue it generated. This information can indicate which type of creative works best for your account and which ones you should avoid.
The Creative Matrix is a scatterplot depicting Spend vs. Revenue which helps you visualize and compare creative performance across your account.
At the top, you can adjust the minimum and maximum spend amounts displayed on the scatterplot. Adjusting the spend helps you conduct an in-depth analysis of your performance by allowing you to easily zoom in and out. For example, if you want to see which new creatives you should scale, you should lower the maximum spend amount, since doing this will only show you low-spend creatives and allow you to easily compare them and find the most profitable ones.
If you’re wondering how to find your top creatives and ad copies for a specific audience, you should definitely take advantage of Magicx’s Smart Filters.
Try using Smart Filtering to find your best creatives by form length, age group, gender, country, placement, and even position within the funnel stage. Once you click Apply Filters, you'll have the Creative Matrix focused exactly on the audience and creative types you're interested in.
In the example below, we’ve chosen to focus on medium and short videos, males, and an age range of 18-34. This will allow you to find all the creatives you use for short-medium length videos targeting these audiences so you can optimize accordingly.
¶ How to Read the Creative Matrix:
- Top Left—Scalable
These ads spend only a little of your budget but deliver great results. Therefore, they're great candidates for scaling budgets or duplicating.- Top Right—Core Performers
These are the creatives that spend most of your budget but also deliver most of the results.- Bottom Right—Overspenders
These are the under-performers. They're creatives that spend a lot but don't deliver good results. You should either pause them or reduce their budget.- Bottom Left—Getting Started
You haven't spent a lot of your ad spend on these creatives, so it's hard to determine their potential. You can use the spend toggle to 'zoom in' and see which ones are scalable.
You can open selected ads directly into a Creative Cluster chart from the Creative Insights page. This allows you to pick and choose the best combination of creatives and ad copies for any of the selected ads.
You can sort the creatives along the bottom of the Creative Performance Graph based on:
Creative Performance Trends allows you to compare the performance of individual creatives over time. Use the drop-down menu on the top right-hand corner to select different metrics and compare revenue, CTR, or whichever KPIs are the most valuable for you.
Below Creative Performance Trends you can see the Top 10 AI Feature Tags. This is a feature unique to Madgicx that allows you to analyze the performance of different elements within your ad creatives and make data-driven decisions about what to produce next.
The Madgicx platform automatically recognizes and tags elements in your creatives and includes things such as clothing, weather, materials, etc. This will allow you to pick the best future creatives. For example, if you see that pictures of people and computers generate the highest returns, you should include these elements in more creatives.
The Smart Filter is a Madgicx feature that allows you to filter your creatives and copy, so you can be much more accurate and specific in your targeting. The Smart Filter is a complete solution, as it provides you with insights throughout the creation process, and when measuring the results.
Smart Filters are located within several Madgicx tools: Ad Copy Insights, Creative Insights, and Mass Launcher. They allow you to filter your assets according to country, age, gender, funnel stage, device, and placement, as well as:
To use them, Click Smart Filter and use the checkmarks to focus your insights on the audience segments and result types that you’re interested in. Once you click Apply Filters, you'll see only the relevant data, so it’s very easy to make data-driven decisions.
This way, you can gain more actionable insights, and tailor your content to your target audiences.
The same Smart Filters can help you analyze your creative performance on Madgicx's Creative and Ad Copy Insights.
For example, if you compare the performance of a specific audience segment in a specific gender and age range, you can tell which creatives are performing below average and which are performing above average, generate your conclusions and act accordingly.
One of the most valuable uses of the Smart Filter is to perfect your targeting based on funnel stage. We know that it’s important to show different creatives for different funnel stages: retargeting and retention customers are your most valuable and profitable audiences,so you should show them ads that reflect this relationship, rather than treat them as strangers. On the flip side, acquisition audiences should get the creatives and copy that best represent your brand and offering.
You can also use Smart Filters while creating new ad sets. Once you reach the Select Ad Creatives section in the Mass Launcher, you can use the Smart Filter to locate your best ads for a specific segment.
You can also use the Smart Filter within the Creative Clusters tool: When creating new combinations of ad copy and creative, you can filter the combinations directly within the Creative Clusters chart. This allows you to spot winning combinations and instantly launch them into existing campaigns.
Its easy to look at broad data and extract the wrong insights. Smart Filter makes it easy for you to separate the wheat from the chaff and make sure that your Creative Clusters combo is not only effective, but effective for the right audience segment.
Deleting your ads also removes your creative performance data from Madgicx, which might hurt your analytics accuracy: so you should always pause ads rather than delete them.
The Smart Filter is a powerful tool that gives you quick and useful insights on your top assets to use in every situation. Use it to decide between your existing creatives, or inspire you to make new ones.
